This particular jewelry box is made from mahogany with brass trim on the top. It features a drawer at the bottom with a removeable tray in the top. The top, shown on the right above, is a gorgeious piece of mahogany crotch. The extreme reflective qualities seen on the top are due to a great deal of time spent rubbing out the finish in a centuries old method of getting a perfect finish that allows you to see a great reflection of your face.
